Blood + Thunder: The Sound of Alberts is the most unmissable Australian television event since Struggle Street, and proof that the lefty lynch mob at the ABC doesn’t always just piss away our tax dollars with useless expenditures like Triple J.
Tonight (June 25) at 8:30 [AEST], ABC TV will air the first part of Blood + Thunder, a two-part doco on Oz rock founding father Ted Albert and his relationship with a close-knit family of Scottish immigrants by the name of Young. The second part airs next Thursday (July 2).
Overseen by writer/director Paul Clarke (Long Way to the Top, Love is in the Air, etc.), the doco iincludes interviews and/or archival footage of The Easybeats, Billy Thorpe, Ted Mulry Gang, The Angels, Rose Tattoo, AC/DC, etc. Tough TV.
Blood + Thunder: The Sound of Alberts airs on ABC TV in two parts:
Part 1: Thursday, June 25 at 8.30pm [AEST]
Part 2: Thursday, July 2 at 8.30pm [AEST]
