Never a band to do anything half-arsed, Sydney post-rock shamen We Lost The Sea are going all out for their first shows this year.
Starting this Friday, they’ll head out on their first national tour, and each show will see the sexy-tet playing their fully instrumental third album Departure Songs in full-blown cinemascope (not really) from go to woooooooaaaaaaahhhh.
One of their three guitarists, Matt Harvey, tells UB they’ll be well prepared to assault the fuck out of everybody’s senses.
“We’ve been jamming a bit and working on some cool stuff for the tour,” he says. “The album is one whole piece and meant to be listened to start to finish. We wrote it as a concept album and all the stories and songs work together to tell the overall story.
“It’s our first headline tour so we get to make the rules.”
