Stand and cheer for Peter Black, who today posted the final song of his Song A Day project – a track fittingly titled “S.A.D E.N.D”.

In an unprecedented display of endurance and melody, he’s written, recorded and released a song every day this year – 366 songs because it’s a leap year – and also did 12 really cool record covers for each month (October is our personal favourite).

“I enjoyed the fuck out of it,” he tells Unbelievably Bad. “It was a huge effort, but even when I was getting smashed for time and thought we wouldn’t make a deadline for the next day, I still loved it.

“I love music that much, it was decadent to be that immersed in it. It was an awesome thing to do.”

Unbelievably Bad asked Blackie to trawl through and pick one choice track from each month. Instead, he picked two…
